Take the name of a special person.
It could be anyone: your spouse, a parent or child, best friend, significant other, even your boss! For our demonstration, we'll use
CALEB SAUNDERS
Now, pull out, in order, just the vowels:
a e a u e
And let's map them to vowels in the solfegge versions of the notes of a musical scale:
a = la
e = re
a = fa
u = ut
e = re
Now we have a sequence of five notes: la - re - fa - ut -re, or as we might term them today, A - D- F -C - D:
Then all we have to do is add some rhythmic values, extend the tune out a bit, and Voila! - we have a melody (requires Flash):
Finally, let's add a second part, echoing the first part as in a round (requires Flash):
That's how it's done!
